A small plane crashed into a car at Northwest Regional Airport in Roanoke, Texas, on Saturday. The crash was caught on video, which shows a single-engine Cessna hitting the roof of a black SUV while attempting to land. Miraculously no one was killed, but the SUV driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Northwest Regional Airport, where the crash happened, is a small landing strip used mostly by recreational fliers. It has hangars on both sides of the runway, with a road at one end that connects each side.
‘When cars cross that area they are supposed to stop and wait for any airplanes,’ Deputy Chief Gilbert Caldwell of the Roanoke Fire Department told WFAA. ‘Either the plane didn’t see the car or the car didn’t see the plane.’
