It happened: gay wedding on TV. Conan O’Brien officiated a same-sex marriage ceremony on his show last night and made television history.
He married “CONAN” costume designer Scott Cronick and his partner David Gorshein. Bravo’s Andy Cohen walked Scott down the aisle on stage at the New York City’s Beacon Theatre.
The wedding was performed while Conan is doing this week’s shows in NYC because same sex weddings aren’t legal in California.
After the men stepped on two glasses (one for each groom), O’Brien declared, “By the power invested in me by the state of New York and the Universal Life Church, I now pronounce you husband and husband. You can kiss the groom.”
