A 15-year-old girl from Tahuya, Washington has been arrested for shooting her father with a hunting arrow for allegedly grounding her and taking away her cell phone.
The girl then fled the house after preventing her dad from calling for help. She hid herself in the woods behind the house along with her weapon, meanwhile the wounded man managed to climb out a window and crawl to the nearest neighbors house to call 911.
The 35-year-old father was airlifted to a hospital in Seattle and was listed in serious condition. His daughter was apprehended in the woods by the SWAT team without incident and brought to a hospital in Tacoma because she appeared to be despondent, according to Mason County sheriff’s spokesman William Adam.
