Steve Cornell, the 55-year-old father of two, become the hero of the day after he used his artificial leg to help catch an armed robber.
Cornell tripped the suspect on his way out of a Middleton convenience store in Boston, giving the store manager Edson Andrade enough time to catch up. The suspect, 23-year-old Eric Homen, than opened fire, but luckily nobody got hurt.
Cornell took the gun and Andrade dragged the suspect back until police could arrive.
“I didn’t think. All I did was just react. Nobody goes out to be a hero. But you always try to stop something if you can,” said Cornell admitting he’d probably do the same thing again, reports My Fox Boston.
